Amagara School of Fashion and Drapery Design (ASFADD)
Eight new students join ASFADD to gain an income-generating skill but also find Christ. ASFADD has found a new home. The skills development school moved to Ntinda, a new location in Kampala with a greater capacity for ministry. It is a beautiful new building that God orchestrated in His perfect timing. Ntinda will allow more women to join the school and a greater potential for customers. A big thanks to the March mission team who helped set up the school and donate machines. We are excited to see the continual growth of the school and the lives transformed through the program.

Director Lilian Tumuheirwe shows off her latest drapery work as she enjoys working with the newest students at the new site for ASFADD. Empowering orphan girls to live independent, productive lives was the motivation behind the Juna Amagara School of Fashion and Drapery Design, founded by Lilian Tumuheirwe in 2005. Lilian earned a degree in fashion design in the U.S. and received donated equipment and supplies to start the school in Kampala. Young women who attend classes for nine months graduate with skills that enable them to start businesses or gain employment. During the course of instruction, students are exposed to a curriculum in Christian living, which equips them to take their skills into the world with confidence.
